What comes with my Custom kit?

Your kit contains one pre-numbered linen canvas based on your photo, a pre-mixed acrylic paint set in your selected 24-, 36- or 48-color palette, three nylon brushes, a small reference image, two screws and two wall hooks. Brush color and handle design may vary by batch.

Which Custom sizes, color counts and finishes can I choose?

Choose 40 × 50, 50 × 60 or 60 × 80 cm, listed as approximately 16 × 20, 20 × 24 or 24 × 32 inches. Each size offers 24, 36 or 48 colors and No Frame or Ready-to-Hang. These are Custom choices; standard kits have their own size and Type options.

How should I choose between 24, 36 and 48 colors?

24 colors gives you fewer paint pots to track. The 36- and 48-color options provide larger pre-mixed palettes. Compare the selected price, canvas size and photo before choosing. All three use number matching; more colors cannot restore a blurry face or missing detail in the original photo.

What is the difference between No Frame and Ready-to-Hang?

No Frame is a rolled canvas. Ready-to-Hang is pre-stretched on wooden bars; paint it and let it dry before hanging. Neither includes a decorative outer frame. For No Frame, plan a flat painting support and a later mounting method. Our framing guide explains the choices.

What makes a photo suitable for a Custom kit?

How do I turn my photo into a kit?

Are the images AI-assisted? Can I choose an entirely AI-free kit?

Do I need experience, and what can I learn?

How long will it take to finish a kit?

Time varies with size, detail, your pace and session length. A 40 × 50 cm Custom kit with 24 colors has no fixed completion time; color count alone does not describe the work. Plan several sessions and, for a gift you paint yourself, allow time for drying too.

Can I order this Custom kit as a gift?

Yes. Choose a meaningful photo and check the size, palette, finish and delivery address. Give the kit for the recipient to paint, or paint it yourself first. Ready-to-Hang still needs painting. Read the Shipping Policy and contact us about a fixed gift date before ordering.

How long will my order take, and how will I get tracking?

Read the current Shipping Policy for processing and delivery information. When tracking is available, it goes to the checkout email address. Timing depends on the order and destination. For help with an order or a fixed gift date, contact us with the order number or the kit you are considering.

Can I cancel or return a Custom order?

The Custom cancellation and refund window is 24 hours after ordering. Email help@diyartmuse.com within that window and wait for written confirmation. Afterward, a kit made from your photo cannot be canceled, returned or refunded for a change of mind.

This was a really nice picture to create, and easier than my previous one, the surf girl on a big wave. While I was painting the door to the beach I worried I might run out of a couple of colors, but I didn't. Like my other paint by numbers, it only looked successful once I stood back from the finished piece. It's hanging on the wall now, and I've started the next one, Cats Eyes, which is a lot harder. I ordered this from DIY Art Muse and it was easy.
